Bea: (Female) This special kitty is Bea. She is a cat with a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia or CH for short. A cat with CH often falls down and has trouble walking or cannot seem to walk at all. CH in cats is non-progressive, meaning it does not get worse with age. Cerebellar Hypoplasia occurs when the cerebellum, the part of the brain which controls fine motor skills and coordination, is not completely mature at birth. Bea is a high functioning CH cat, she is able to walk fairly well. She doesn't let anything stop her, playing with toys and relaxing in the shelter, always ready to explore! However, Bea does lose her balance and will fall or run into things, so we have put special flooring in one room so she can't hurt herself. She has a very loving personality and she is a happy girl! She will be looking for that special family who can give her that little extra tender loving care so she can be safe and loved! We just love this little angel!
